Baboon Sanctuary
The major highlight of the sanctuary is the troops of black Howler monkey that typically live in groups of 4-12 individuals with a dominant male heading the troop. The monkeys are strictly vegetarian – eating leaves, flowers and fruits.
Belize Zoo & Tropical Centre
Exhibiting over 175 animals and representing over 45 native species. The Belize Zoo is located near mile 30 on the Western Highway. Educate yourself on all the different animals that are in Belize.
Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary
Consists of over 285 species of birds, including the majestic jabiru stork that feed and nest in this protected wetland ecosystem; it is also home to howler monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas and turtles.

Cockscomb Basin Wldlife Sanctuary
The 100,000 acre sanctuary contains tropical forests that rise to the summit of Victoria Peak which is approximately 3,675 ft. Established in 1984 to protect a large jaguar population and other wildlife, it is also known as “The Jaguar Preserve”.
Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM Cave)
Hike through the lush Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve, swim into the cave, and then unto the underground realm once held scared by the ancient Maya.

A former prison converted to a museum, offers many interesting facts when it comes to the history, culture, activities, and novels! View the earliest stamp of Belize depicting Queen Victoria (1837). Walk into a well-preserved jail cell and feel like an inmate and amaze your eyes on the Buenavista Vase that depicts the mythical Maya Hero Twins dancing in victory over the Lords of Xibalba.
Great Blue Hole
